Elk

Southeastern British Columbia is one of the few places remaining where you can rifle hunt elk in the rut. The Elk Valley offers classic horseback hunting in true wilderness.

If you dream of elk hunting in the Rockies, with images of antlers lashed to sturdy mountain horses, this is the place for you. The regulation is 6 points or better, and bulls typically range from 270 – 320. The season runs from early September to mid-October. It is extremely difficult to predict success on any given elk hunt, as they are extremely wary animals that can inhabit the most difficult terrain in a hunting area.

Our elk hunts are typically pack in horseback hunts where we bugle, glass and stalk in an attempt to secure good trophy bulls for our clientele.

By taking a low number of hunters per season (8-10), as well as only harvesting 6 points, we maintain comparably high success.
